What is UltraClear?

Patients can choose between a quick, no-numbing 3D MIRACL treatment or a more aggressive Laser Coring option, depending on their skin laxity concerns, desired results and available downtime. Your personalized treatment plan will be determined at your consultation with Dr. Totonchi or our Nurse Practitioner, Brianna Patriarca.
Preparing for your treatment:
- Hydrate your skin! To optimize your results, we recommend using ZO Daily Power Defense to moisturize your skin morning and evening for six weeks prior to your treatment. Additionally, drink at least 8 glasses of water daily for seven days leading up to your appointment to fully hydrate your skin and enhance outcomes.
- Any topical retinoid therapy should be discontinued 5 days prior to treatment.
- Avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun is essential prior to and after your treatment. If you must be outdoors, find shade, use a zinc oxide sunscreen with at least SPF 30+ and wear a protective hat to shield your skin.
- Please arrive at the office with a clean face and ensure all topicals removed from the intended treatment area. This includes topical anesthetics, hairspray, gel, makeup, lotions, deodorants, self-tanning products, and ointments. Do not use flammable products in the vicinity of the laser.
Immediately Post-Treatment:
You will leave the office with a sunburn-like sensation. This heat will peak shortly after treatment and gradually subside over the next few hours.
A Velez Hydrating Mask will be applied to treated areas to help reduce swelling and redness while boosting hydration.
Before going home, you’ll be provided with post-treatment ZO Skin Health products to support healing and enhance your results. These include:
- ZO Gentle Cleanser
- ZO Hydrating Crèm
What to expect with healing and results:
DAY 1: You can expect redness (erythema), swelling (edema) and possibly some dried blood or crusting to treated areas. Redness may persist up to 2+ weeks, depending on the individual. However, it can typically be covered with a tinted SPF on post treatment day 2.
DAY 2-7: Redness, scabbing and mild swelling (edema) are common. Patients will also start to notice their skin beginning to naturally peel. (This may last longer than 7 days depending on the intensity and customization of your laser treatment.)
1-2 WEEKS: Patients report their skin feels more even and smooth.
1 MONTH: Gradually results improve over 1-3 months post treatment.
